Jaws????

Nora has two new teeth, and boy are they sharp. Please don't ask me how I know . . . I just do. Anyway, check out this video Tim put together.

We think it is hilarious how Nora stopped crawling and just sat (very innocently might I add) as my mom walked by. "Nothing here to see, Nana. I'm just sitting here passing time . . ."

Oh So Thankful!

We are so thankful for every blessing that God has so generously given us. Tim and I are thankful for each other and thankful for our little miracle, Nora. We are thankful for our families and friends. It is amazing to love and to be loved. We are thankful for salvation and for God's goodness. He saved us and continues to bless us in spite of our unfaithfulness. Praise God!

We spent Thanksgiving day at Mama J's house with Aunt Mandy and Uncle Nick. Nana and Poppa as well as MawMaw and PawPaw Nora are here, and we have enjoyed every second with them. Nora has had the time of her life entertaining the crowd. She is showing off her crawling, cruising, standing, talking, talking, laughing, and her playing. Oh, I think forgot to say her talking. I know every parent thinks so, but I know Nora is exceptionally smart both intellectually and socially. For that, we are thankful.

Nora's move of the day: Pointing
Nora is pointing at everyone and everything. She even likes to touch pointer fingers. ET phone home. :D

Look Mom, No Hands!

Nora is making steps towards becoming a walker. I have seen her stand up on her own (without holding on to anything) twice. :D Let's start a new poll. When will Nora take her first step? Look below to vote.

Oh, BTW I let Nora out of my sight for one minute yesterday and she made her way up five stairs. I could have fainted. I didn't know she was able to do that! My baby is really growing up.

Ring around the ROSEOLA??????

Nora has been sick this weekend. She has roseola. Doesn't that sound too pretty to be a sickness? Well, it is an illness that includes fever and a rash on the mid-body area. Nora's fever is gone, but the rash is still there. Oh did I mention, she also has an ear infection. Pray for her to recover quickly, so we can have a fantastic turkey day.

BTW- We are spending Thanksgiving at Mama J's. Nana and Poppa will also be there and so will Mawmaw and Pawpaw Nora. We are so thankful for family.

Who's Your Daddy?

Observation:

Conclusion:
Tim is one proud Papa!
Observation:
Yesterday and today Nora kept standing up, pointing at Tim and saying "Da"
Conclusion:
I think she knows who her Daddy is. (not that there was ever a question about it.) Nora is still saying "dada" as a part of her baby communication, but "Da" is reserved for Daddy!

Gab "BEAR" ielle (It's a stretch, but Tim likes it)

I know Halloween was a while ago, but here are the pics. :D

Happy Birthday Parker!

Today, Nora went to Parker's first birthday party. She was able to see her friends Parker and Maddox. It had been a while since we last saw them.

Anyway, the party was great! Parker had a good time posing for pictures and eating his blue cake. We cannot wait to see all the pictures of Parker with his blue face. :D

Only a few short months before Nora will also be turning one. I cannot believe how fast time flies.

My Mama's for Obama!

While in Colorado, we were able to go see Presidential nominee Barack Obama. WOW! What an experience. Nora started clapping for the first time and it was so funny watching her get wild when everyone was cheering. My baby was able to be a part of history in the making.
YES WE CAN!

Colorado!

We're in Colorado visiting our friends Valencia, Eric, Thaddeus, Trinity, and Theodore. Oh I forgot Shaft, their dog. Nora did great on the plane. Thank God, her ears were fine and she slept most of the flight. That's my girl!

So far, we are having a great time. Can you believe that it is actually warm here? (I thought we'd at least get to see a little snow.) Anyhow, today we got to go to a presentation at Trinity and Thaddeus' school. It was sooo cute. It will only be a matter of time before Nora is having presentations of her own. Gosh, I can't wait. . . Yes, I can. I am enjoying every second with my baby. Time moves too fast already. Why rush it? I'll check back in with pictures of Nora playing with her new friends.

It Has Been A While . . .

It has been a while since our last entry and a lot has happened.

1. Daddy is back!

2. Nora is a little girl on the move. She is crawling with speed and confidence. She is even pulling up on things or should I say everything. Watch out world here comes Nora Brooks!

3. Nora met Gravity, and she does not like him very much. Yes. Nora, Nora trying to crawl. Nora, Nora had a great fall. Thank God all the kings horses and all the kings men didn't have to put her together again.

4. Nora is expecting twin cousins next year. Congratulations Aunt Tanya! :D

5. Nora is getting over her first cold complete with matching ear infection. Who would of thought so much snot could come out of such a little nose.

6. We are packing for a short vacation to Colorado Springs. We are expecting to have a great time!

Mama! Nora said "Mama!"

Finally, the moment I have been waiting for has arrived. Nora said Mama! :D Heehee! I am so giddy even thinking about it. I know she doesn't know what she is saying yet, but I am so happy! I am such a proud Mommy and my baby girl is sooooo smart.

And the winner is . . .

And the winner is . . . drumroll please . . . the TEDDY BEAR! It was very close between the monkey and teddy bear, but the teddy bear squeaked by. (Tim is happy) I am buying the costume today. Tim and I are also joining the party. He will be Papa Bear and I will be Mama Bear. Yep, you guessed it. We are going to be the 3 bears. :) Cute!

We are spending Halloween in Colorado. We are very excited and we're looking forward to seeing our friends Valencia, Eric, Thaddeus, Trinity, and Theodore.

Season's Change & Babies Grow . . .

Monday was the first day of fall. It is the first fall for Nora. Its amazing to think how she is seeing everything for the first time. It brings me so much pleasure to watch her explore a leaf that has just fallen from a tree or even the things she finds around our house. She is learning so much every moment. I often look at her and think that is my little girl.. . my gift from God to love, hold, protect, teach, guide and so much more. Nora is my blessing.

A little mushy, I know, but fall always makes me reflect and see things in a new light. I guess that's part of the reason why this is my favorite time of the year. Look at my baby!

We Have a Tooth!

I don't know how I missed the opportunity to post this new discovery, but Nora has a tooth! The tooth broke skin on Sunday. (I think) Does anyone know a tooth fairy that pays you for getting a tooth? -I guess she would be the anti-tooth fairy. :)

BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB Baby!

Yesterday, Nora made a new accomplishment. She is now saying the letter "B". So now she says Dada, Bubba, but still . . . no Mama.

Yesterday, Nora also took her 6/7 month pictures. We can't wait to see them. She had three wardrobe changes including her birthday suit. As soon as we took off her diaper, she peed all over the ottoman. Oh NO! Thank God for aunt Jackie. She can fix it. :) We will post the link to her pictures as soon as we get it. (2-3 long weeks)

Wet & Wild!

Nora is a natural water-baby! She cracked us up when she attempted to lie down in the pool. Who says you need lessons to learn how to swim. At this rate Michael Phelps' record may be in trouble in a few years.

When The Relatives Came

Today Nana and Poppa arrived at our home, and boy, were they happy to see little Miss Nora. Nana has not been able to keep her hands off of Nora, and Poppa's heart has been captured once again. Nana brought Nora to the pool for the first time and fed her gummy bears. (I guess that's what grandmas are for.) Nana and Poppa will be here for at least 4 days. It may even be longer depending on Hurricane Gustav. We will enjoy every second with them.

Along with Nana and Poppa came Great Grandma and Great Grandpa (Mawmaw & Pawpaw), Aunt Tammy, and cousins Reagan, Shawan, Goldie, Amanda, Ashley, Jayden, Caleb, and more. Wow! It is great to be around family!

Back Tracking

Here are a few of our favorite moments . . .
3 month photos
"Isn't she just BEAUTIFUL!"

Rocky VI - featuring Nora Brooks
This video was made at 4 months. Nora was just starting to get mobile. Its amazing how fast they learn. She is now semi-crawling (lil' scooter) Daddy plans on adding to this movies until we can get her climbing the stairs and standing at the top with her arms in the air. -Classic Rocky

Cruising with Uncle Bubba (Don't report us- we altered the picture) We went blueberry picking with Uncle Bubba and AJ (Aunt Jackie) . So much fun! The highlight for Nora was "driving" in Bubba's lap.

"Gimme" that spoon, Mom! From the first time to "Hey, I think I can do this myself!" This makes me laugh everytime I see it.

At the zoo with Mama J - Adorable! We had a great time at the zoo. Nora did not look at one animal, but she enjoyed watching the people. I guess you'll have to agree . . . people can do strange things at times. Here are a few pics of Nora with Mama J. Nora loves her granny.

Let's Get It Started! (Ha!)

We are finally jumping on the blog band wagon. What better way to share all our great pics of Nora.

So . . . yesterday, Nora went on a toy shopping spree. We let her run through the store and get anything she could grab in 5 minutes. :) Being that she can't walk yet, we were in luck. Anyhow, we did go out and buy her several new toys, and our girl is a natural basketball star. We let her explore a new toy and within a couple of tries, she was dropping the ball in the hole every time. Nora - SWOOPS!

Oh, did I mention Nora is semi-crawling now? She's not lifting up her bottom yet, but she has a mean scoot! Look out all of daddy's high-tech toys, Here comes Nora!
